Manual Handling · QQI L6 Assessed

Manual handling training,
assessed by a real instructor

Back injuries are the biggest cause of lost workdays in Ireland — and a tick-box video course doesn't change how anyone lifts. This one does: learn the technique, then submit three lifts on video and have a QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor grade them.

The practical

Training that watches you lift.

Most online manual handling courses end at a quiz, which proves you can answer questions about lifting. Ours ends with you lifting: record three lifts on your phone, submit them through the course, and a qualified QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor reviews your technique and grades it. Built around Irish manual handling legislation and HSA guidance — a certificate that means something to you, your employer and anyone who checks it.

TILE — the check before any lift — stands for:

Task, Individual, Load, Environment — what's being done, who's doing it, what's being moved, and where. Four questions before your hands touch anything.

The power for a safe lift comes from:

Bend the knees, keep the back straight, and drive up with the legs — the strongest muscles you have. Your spine is not lifting equipment.

Before lifting anything, the first thing to do is:

Size it up first — weight, grip, where it's going, what's in the way. Most lifting injuries were decided before the lift started.

0/3

That's a taste of it. The full course covers everything an inspector — or a bad day — can throw at you, and the certificate proves it.

Questions

Manual Handling questions, answered plainly.

At the end of the course you record three lifts — following the brief given — on any phone, and upload them. A QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor reviews your technique, grades each lift and gives feedback. Pass, and your certificate issues straight away.

Someone who holds the QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instruction qualification — the recognised Irish standard for people who teach and assess manual handling. It's the difference between software marking a quiz and a professional watching you lift.

You get the instructor's feedback on exactly what to fix, and you resubmit at no extra charge. It's about getting your lifting right, not catching you out.

Yes — 2 CPD credits under activity number 1015952, delivered by a CPD-approved provider. Your certificate shows the activity number so it can be checked independently.

Because a person grades every learner. The practical means real instructor time per certificate — that's what makes it worth having, and why the volume discount on this course is a little shallower than the rest.

About 80 minutes of theory, plus your practical, and you don't have to do it in one go. Your progress saves automatically, so you can stop and pick up where you left off on any device.

No — and that's deliberate. Lessons unlock in order, and each video has to be watched through before the next opens. It's still self-paced: stop, resume and rewatch whenever suits. But nobody can skip to the assessment, which is exactly why the certificate is worth accepting.

Yes — if a lift doesn't pass, you get the trainer's feedback and resubmit at no extra charge.

The moment you pass. It's issued instantly in your name with a unique ID and QR code, ready to download, print or send on. It's valid for three years.

Then you get your money back. If your employer doesn't accept it within 60 days, or a Health and Safety Authority inspector doesn't accept it within 180 days, we'll refund you in full on production of a letter confirming it. Terms and conditions apply.

Yes, and there's no minimum spend. Buy seats, add your team, and manage everyone's progress and certificates from your dashboard — from your very first seat. Seat pricing drops at 2, 5, 20 and 50 seats.
